Be Restored Counseling

Our approach

At Be Restored Counseling, our approach to therapy is deeply relational. We take time to truly get to know each client and understand the life experiences that have shaped them. We believe the way people see themselves, their relationships, and the world is influenced by those experiences, and that healing begins with a safe and trusting therapeutic connection. Our counselors find great joy in walking alongside individuals and couples as they courageously take steps toward restoration. With advanced training in trauma recovery and sexual healing, our goal is to provide a welcoming space where you can Be Seen, Be Connected, Be Loved, & Be Restored.

Reviews

  • "I was very nervous about taking the step to seek counseling. Being in ministry, I felt I was going to be judged. I am so happy that I finally stopped making excuses and sought the help I needed to heal childhood trauma and heal myself for me and my family. Lacey has walked my same path is many areas of her own life and so I know the advice and wisdom that is being given is from and honest and raw experience of her own. Every appointment feels like I am talking to a friend who is a safe person to be honest and real with and not a cold and emotionless therapist. Coming to the decision to start counseling with Be Restored is the best decision and investment I have made!"

  • "Working with Be Restored Counseling has been life-changing. Lacey created a space where I felt completely safe to be honest about my struggles, even the ones I had never spoken out loud before. Through our sessions, I’ve gained tools to communicate better, set healthier boundaries, and heal from past wounds I thought would always define me. I feel lighter, more confident, and more hopeful than I have in years."

    — Client, Ava, MO

  • "My husband and I have been going to Lacey since summer of 2018. Initially, she was a lifeline for me during a very difficult season in life when I first sought out counseling. Being a stepmom herself, she was the exact fit for me as someone who could relate to our blended family life. Her gentle approach and Godly wisdom has walked us through so many chapters of our marriage. From our blended family challenges to our infertility journey, to becoming adoptive parents and now a family with littles, her counsel has always been essential for our best, no matter the season. We consider her a close friend and confidant. Forever grateful for the role she has played in making our marriage stronger and both of us healthier individuals. Would highly recommend her counsel!"

  • "Ron and Lacey both took my wife and I in when we faced the trials of infidelity. They gave us grace and space to speak freely, honestly, and yet gave us confidence where others tore us down. They set us on the right path and with the help of God and them, our marriage is the best it has ever been. We are thankful for the dynamics they both bring to the table."

  • "When my husband and I first came to Lacey in January 2023, our marriage—and truthfully, I myself—were in a very difficult place. Looking back now, I can say without hesitation that reaching out to her was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Lacey has not only walked with us through the challenges in our marriage, but she has also helped me personally in ways I didn’t expect. One of the things I love most about her is her openness and honesty. Counseling isn’t always easy, but if you’re willing to do the work, it is absolutely worth it. Through her guidance, I’ve been able to rediscover my worth and experience healing in my marriage. More importantly, I’ve come to embrace an even deeper truth—that God loves and values me, and if He does, then I should learn to see myself that way too."

    — Melisa, Springfield, MO

  • "I’ve been meeting with Lacey for the past three years, and the experience has been such a blessing. When I transferred from another counselor, the transition was seamless. Lacey is a wonderful listener and consistently offers sound advice rooted in biblical truth and principles. I always feel free to express my thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. Even when sharing the hardest or most painful parts of my story, I feel completely safe with her. I’m truly grateful for her guidance and support."

    — Ashley, Springfield, MO

  • "I’ve been working with Ron for about a year as part of my recovery from addiction. Ron has walked with me in processing through the most broken parts of my story. Ron’s approach has been more “alongside me in the real world”, rather than “coaching from the sidelines with a textbook”. And that’s just what I needed. I’m grateful for the impact he’s made in my recovery and relationships."
